For its spring / summer issue, VMAN presides over a character study conducted by photographer Philippe Vogelenzang and fashion editor Beat Bolliger. Archetypes ranging from "the rocker" to "the introvert" are extolled, but it is Garrett Neff's "the midnight cowboy" that is the chosen as the story's closer. Wearing a denim on denim ensemble by Calvin Klein Collection, Garrett immediately calls to mind the 1969 film by John Schlesinger, though with a little more knowing than naïveté shown by Jon Voight's Joe Buck.
