Wang Xiao, Sojourner, and Charlotte Carey feature in the Suno Spring 2013 campaign by Christelle de Castro. Set to the buoyant soundtrack of Blood Orange’s “Forget It,” the clever video treatment — part live action, part graphic formulation — for the Spring 2013 Suno collection by Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty breezes jauntily through the daily routines of a group of stylish, enterprising women.
Wang Xiao sits behind the wheel of a Mustang convertible, applying mascara with joyous abandon in the rearview mirror. Sojourner puts down an iced latté to answer a buzzing phone at an office desk. In a restaurant, Charlotte insouciantly shrugs at the entrée she is proffered and instead turns to her stylized smartphone, the sort rendered in print in this Suno collection. The action reaches its climax in a cinema where smartphone portraits are exchanged and admired. Suno Spring 2013 is a rom-com that is sexy, assured, and unapologetically intelligent...and all the more so with Wang Xiao, Sojourner, and Charlotte Carey in starring roles.
